Mr. Kemmer is a sixth generation stockman, rancher, and farmer. His family
has raised registered Angus Cattle since the early 1900’s along with other
livestock and farm crops. His father raised commercial goats when Pit was
young in the 1950’s era. Pit has been raising and breeding Boer goats since
1997, and generally run between 100 and up to 450 breeding females.
He has been very successful in the breeding and showing multiple National
and Reserve National Champion does and bucks. Kemmer Ranch has
outpaced any other breeder in the U. S. over the last decade in breeding and
winning more National Champion Breeders Herd and Breeders Awards than
any other U.S. breeder, many years winning in both International Boer Goat
Association and American Boer Goat Association. Pit said this is his
greatest accomplishment in that these goats had to be bred and raised by his
family and him.
Pit has been judging Boer’s since 2005, and was the first, and one of only
about 5 judges in the U. S. who were certified and approved by both the
IBGA and the ABGA to judge in the U.S. He has judged Boer goats in
many states throughout the U.S., and in 2015 was selected by his peers to
judge the ABGA National Show. Mr. Kemmer is also a licensed auctioneer
and sells Boer goats all over the U.S.; in fact, Kemmer Auctioneers is the
number one goat auction team in the U.S.
Pit says he is very excited about the goat industry worldwide and looks
forward to enhancing the goat breeds to others everywhere. It’s always an
honor to be able to evaluate animals. He says his goal in judging is to
provide an honest, unbiased evaluation of all stock presented.
